My ethos is simple...to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in which even the most nervous dogs can feel at ease.
My name is Naomi and I am a city & guilds qualified and insured pet stylist based in Middleton, Manchester. In 2013 I decided to turn my love for all things furry into a career in dog grooming! I provide a professional styling and grooming service to ensure your dog is kept clean, healthy and a pleasure to live with. Whatever the service you require, I can tailor a package to suit both you and your pet and I groom only to the very highest professional standards, recognising that each dog is an individual.
Your pets welfare and happiness is my number one priority and each dog will receive my undivided care and attention. I want to make the grooming process as fun and stress free as possible from the moment your dog arrives at the salon!
At Barkers we don’t use cages and all pets are dried with hand held dryers.
Our stylists hold city and guilds qualifications with many years of hands on experience. We strictly adhere to animal welfare codes of conduct as set out in the animal welfare act 2006 and follow compassionate handling and grooming techniques at all times, we are fully insured and hold pet first aid certification, But ....above all else we share a passion and love for all dogs!
We also offer a wide range of products including a holistic premium dog food range, all natural treats, brain teasing toys, teddies, clothing, collars leads, grooming tools, pet fragrance, and home baked dog treats.

WHY GROOM?
All dogs should be introduced to the grooming process at as early an age as possible, as soon as they have been immunised and are allowed out they should visit a professional groomer for their first puppy groom! This is part of essential early socialisation and ensures they accept grooming as part of a regular routine and that they are happy and content with the process.
In general a clean pet is a happy pet! No hair in the eyes, clean fur and skin, clipped nails and clean teeth all make for a pet that is comfortable and well behaved.
Neglect to have your pet regularly groomed and you will see some serious side effects occur such as
Matted and dirty coats
Underlying skin conditions
Hair growing in and around the eyes - this will clog with bacteria and can cause infections.
Excess ear hair, clogs with wax and dirt, a breeding ground for bacteria and a cause of ear infections
Parasites thrive and often go undetected on un-groomed pets
Over grown nails can be very painful & damage the foot profile
Dental disease, which can affect the liver and other organs
Took my Loui for a scrub up and (problematic) nails done. He is petrified of anyone touching his nails. As I sat waiting in the Parents waiting room biting my nails, Naomi’s patience and attitude won him over and he came back a happy chappie. as many shampoos as required, deep conditioning treatment, blow dry, hair clip & style or de-shed treatment, nails clipped, ears cleaned/plucked, fragrance to finish.
PUPPY GROOM
shampoo & fluff dry, trim of face, feet, bottom, ears cleaned, nails clipped, fragrance to finish.
BATH & DE-SHED
as many de-shed shampoos as required, deep conditioning treatment, blast dried to remove lose hair, trim- up, zoom groom session, furminator session, nails, ears, fragrance to finish.

WEDDING SERVICE
Many couples dream of having their canine family members to be a part of their wedding day. How amazing would it be to have your furry best friend in some of your wedding photos and to have them included in the the most important day of your life!
But who has time to look after their dog on their wedding day? This is where Barkers of Middleton steps in to help! .... dependant on which package you choose..on your wedding day we will groom and pamper your pet to ensure they are photo ready...then escort them safely to the wedding / reception venue.
We will remain on site and be responsible for the supervision and care of your pet throughout and when it’s time for them to go we will safely transport them back home or board them for the night if required.

WEDDING PACKAGES
SILVER
We will safely transport your dog from your chosen collection point to your dog friendly wedding venue, before, during or after the ceremony as per your instructions. Once you have your precious memories captured by your photographer and you are ready for your pet to leave we will take them home to an address of your choice.
Your pet will be adorned with a complimentary floral collar, locally handmade & coordinated with your wedding colours
GOLD
The gold package includes all in the silver package plus your precious pup will receive a full & luxurious pamper appointment at the Barkers of Middleton grooming salon in Middleton, Manchester, prior to taking them to the venue. The groom will include luxurious bubbles pet therapy shampoo, deep conditioning pet therapy massage treatment, fluff blow dried, cut and styled, teeth cleaned, nails cut and fragrance to finish.
Once they are beautifully groomed to ulti-mutt perfection we will take them to your wedding as per your instructions .. whether it is for ring bearing duties or simply to be a part of the photographs!
PLATINUM DELUXE
Our platinum deluxe service includes all in the silver and gold packages and in addition your pet will be transported back and given the 5 star home from home boarding experience! They will receive walkies, playtime, a slap up dinner and cozy night in front of the fire.
They can remain with us until you are ready to have them collected the next day. This premium service allows your handsome hound to share in your most special occasion all the while giving you piece of mind that they are well taken care of and are supervised throughout the entire day and night.

Personalisation of all the above services can be arranged during the consultation. Prices are for locations in the Manchester & Greater Manchester area, outside locations may incur extra fees.
Please ensure wedding venues are dog friendly.
50% deposit required for booking. All the above packages include unlimited cuddles and belly rubs.

My Tilly had been badly treated at another place,and so she wouldn’t let anyone cut her hair. Then Naomi won her around and calmed her nerves.
